Nominated for the '2011 WTF moment of the year' Loudwire Music Awards, Metallica and Lou Reed release 'Lulu'. That alone should speak for itself..
Lou Reed intelligently and vigorously defends Lulu in this interview, claiming that it is for people who are literate. So that's why we don't get it, because we're not literate. Ouch, Lou Reed. Ouch.
But that's okay, because as Lars Ulrich says in this interview, "[Lou Reed is] a fascinating human being, he’s brilliant musically, intellectually, but I think he feels misunderstood. Most people have a tendency to start a conversation in a neutral position and then see where it goes. He starts in a negative position, then you’ve got to go to neutral and then to positive. When he feels comfortable and trusts people, he opens up, and incredible things can happen.” -Lars Ulrich.
